For the past decade, Dr. Daniel Volk has worked in the mental health field supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families in their wellness journeys. Dr. Volk received his PhD in 2020 from the University of Connecticut and has been in private practice as a psychologist since 2021. As a psychology doctoral intern at the Center for Anxiety in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Volk received extensive training in implementing various evidence-based therapy approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Meditation and Mindfulness. Prior to this, Dr. Volk received training in Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Interpersonal Process and Solution-Focused Therapy (IPT). Dr. Volk’s training in numerous evidenced-based therapeutic approaches enables him to flexibly implement a range of interventions, offering his clients customized treatment plans as per individual client need and responsiveness. In addition to being a Licensed Psychologist in New York State, Dr. Volk is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. In his free time, Dr. Volk enjoys hiking in nature, particularly in the Adirondacks, reading and writing, cooking, and exploring the wisdom of eastern philosophies such as Zen Buddhism. Natalie is a dedicated Mental Health Counselor with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University. With over five years of experience in the mental health field, Natalie has had the privilege of working with clients of all ages, supporting them through various life challenges. Natalie believes in a collaborative approach to therapy, working closely with each client to establish a personalized structure that meets their unique needs. She primarily utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, ensuring a supportive and effective therapeutic environment. Outside of her professional life, Natalie enjoys practicing yoga, reading thrillers and books of wisdom, and traveling to new destinations. These personal interests contribute to her holistic approach to mental health and well-being.
